Guided Tours and Exhibition at the Protestant Monastery of St. Augustine in Erfurt

The Protestant Monastery of St. Augustine in Erfurt owns more than 700 years of history . Built by Augustinian Hermits, the place of Luther’s theological education, a Protestant secondary school, an orphanage, a school for the training of preachers – events like the Protestant Reformation and World War II had a large influence on the development of the Protestant Monastery of St. Augustine. Buildings were destroyed and rebuilt, relics vanished and were replaced by copies true to the originals. In spite of the eventful past of the monastery complex you can still visit the old walls and buildings as well as experience the authentic, medieval atmosphere of the monastery.

Be part of a guided tour through the monastery, the St. Augustine’s Church  and the buildings of the monastery grounds and explore the history of the monastery!
