Charitable Foundation St. Augustine’s Monastery in Erfurt

The St. Augustine’s Monastery in Erfurt Foundation (“Stiftung Augustinerkloster zu Erfurt”) was founded during November 2003 by the German Foundation of Preservation Order (Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz). Purpose of the non-profit foundation is the restructuring, restoration and reconstruction of the buildings of the Protestant Monastery of St. Augustine. Furthermore, the preservation and maintenance of the existing monastery buildings is part of the duties of the organization. St. Augustine’s Monastery and the related grounds are recognized as a cultural Thuringian monument.
